This afternoon, Jeep announced that their ballistic, Hellcat-powered Grand Cherokee Trackhawk will be coming to Australia, with a launch set for December.
If you were unaware, Jeep unveiled the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk at April’s New York motor show. The Trackhawk drives all four wheels using a 527kW and 874Nm 6.2L supercharged Hemi V8 sourced from the Challenger and Charger Hellcat. It can reach 100km/h in just 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 290km/h. You can read more about the Trackhawk by clicking here!
When prompted about today’s announcement, Jeep Australia’s CEO Steve Zanlunghi said: ““I’m very excited to confirm that the Trackhawk will officially join the new Grand Cherokee range. From the moment it was revealed in New York we knew we had to bring it to Australia. Public interest in the Trackhawk has been incredible – barely a day goes by when I’m not asked if it’s coming. Now I can confirm it.”
The Trackhawk will surpass the 350kW Chrysler 300 SRT and the 375kW Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio as the most powerful FCA car sold down under, and will also become one of the most powerful cars on sale in Australia.
What do you guys think about this announcement? I CAN’T WAIT to see this thing on the roads, and read some reviews. Maybe, this could… emphasis on could…. lead to the Dodge Charger and Challengers coming down under. Let me know down below!
