Earlier this week, Holden announced the pricing and specs for its upcoming hatch-based Astra Sportwagon, their first small wagon since the death of the Cruze wagon late last year.

The 2018 Astra Sportwagon is the 13th of Holden’s 24 new models to be released by 2020. It is exclusively powered by the 110kW and 240Nm 1.4L turbo 4-cylinder used in the Astra sedan and base R hatch, paired to a 6-speed automatic. Other headline features of the Astra wagon include the 1620L storage capacity after the rear seats are folded, and a suite of safety tech including autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping assistance and forward collision alert.
