Today, Fiat revealed a special edition hardtop version of their Abarth 124 roadster, dubbed the GT.
The main feature of the GT is the roof – it is now a carbon fibre hardtop. It weighs just 16kg and can be easily removed and fitted – sadly, there is no place to store it within the car, so you leave the roof at home and it rains you’re in trouble.
Mechanically, the Abarth 124 GT is identical to the Spider – it features the same 125kW and 250Nm 1.4L turbo petrol and RWD powertrain.
Abarth have fitted more than just a new roof – it features a new Alpi Orientali Grey paint finish, colour coded mirrors, a colour coded front bumper and new 17-inch OZ Racing lightweight wheels which save 3kg from the car’s mass. Optional extras include a matt black bonnet, carbon rear spoiler and red/black mirrors.
