Hello! Welcome to a little segment that’ll run after every motor show, where I detail the best car, best concept, worst car and my biggest surprises. Today we’re doing the Geneva motor show – let’s begin!
Best Production Car: Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe
I absolutely LOVE the AMG GT 4. Not only is it a four door interpretation of the stunning AMG GT coupe, its 4.0L biturbo V8 makes 470kW – that’s just 4kW off the HSV GTS-R W1 and 52kW off the Dodge Charger Hellcat, making it one of the most powerful sedans/liftback in the world.
Best Concept: Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept
I really don’t need to explain the significance of this concept – it confirms that a production Supra is on the way. Let’s not forget how good it looks with that body and those motorsport parts. So nice!
Worst Car: Lexus UX
Don’t get me started on this one. All Lexus SUVs of late (bar the UX) try too hard to be futuristic, but fail spectacularly – the UX is no different. It’s clear who I never wrote about it – it’s bad in every way.
Biggest Surprise: Rimac C_two
Rimac’s next hypercar was by far my biggest surprise of the show. We expected the successor to the Concept_One would be faster, more powerful etc – however, we didn’t anticipate how much faster it’d be. Let me run off some numbers. 1914hp. 2300Nm. 0-60mph in 1.85 seconds. This thing is absolutely bonkers.
So, those are my picks. What are yours? Let me know down below, I’d love to hear your thoughts..
