Yesterday, Jaguar officially revealed the all new F-Pace SVR performance SUV.
It is powered by a 5.0L supercharged V8 (taken from the F-Type SVR) which produces 404kW of power and 680Nm of torque. Power and torque are sent to all four wheels through an 8-speed automatic transmission – it also features torque vectoring and an electronic rear limited-slip differential. The F-Pace SVR can do the 0-100km/h sprint in 4.3 seconds (0-60mph takes 4.1s) towards a top speed of 283km/h (176mph).
Jaguar’s SVO division have made some other performance upgrades to the F-Pace SVR, including adaptive sports suspension, a stiffer chassis, a revised electric power steering system and Jaguar’s Variable Active Exhaust System which creates “a charismatic soundtrack” and shaves 6.6kg of weight. The SVR rides on 21-inch wheels as standard (22-inchers are optional), riding on wider tyres and 395mm front/396mm rear brakes with 2-piece discs.
Inside, the SVR features slimline front performance seats trimmed in leather and embossed in SVR badging. The interior is available in 4 colour schemes – Red with Jet, Light Oyster with Jet, Siena Tan with Jet and Jet with Light Oyster stitching. Technology wise, there’s a 10-inch Touch Pro infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and an optional 4G Wi-Fi hotspot.
The Jaguar F-Pace SVR goes on sale in the UK in June for $137,969 AUD – Aussies will be able to place orders in mid-2018. What do you think? Let me know below.
