Skoda has taken the wraps off the Karoq Scout, an offroad-focused variant of its Karoq medium SUV.
The Karoq Scout is the third Skoda vehicle to be graced with thew Scout badge, after the high-riding, Subaru Outback-rivalling Octavia Scout and the Europe-only Kodiaq Scout.
To differentiate it from its standard counterpart, the Karoq Scout gets 18-inch ‘Braga’ wheels, rugged body cladding and faux skid plates. 19-inch wheels (pictured) are available as an option. Inside, there’s Scout-specific cloth seat trim with brown stitching and ‘Scout’ embroidered on the headrest.
The Scout is available with a choice of petrol and diesel powertrains, all of which come standard with all-wheel-drive: a 110kW 1.5-litre turbo petrol, 110kW 2.0-litre turbo diesel and a 140kW 2.0-litre turbo diesel. All powertrains are offered with a seven-speed DSG dual clutch automatic, with the 110kW diesel getting a six-speed manual.
The Skoda Karoq Scout will make its public debut at the Paris motor show in October.
