Mercedes-AMG has released a set of teasers for its upcoming A35 hot hatch.
5 photos have been released by the Affalterbach-based brand, showing off the launch car’s Solarbeam Yellow hero colour.
The majority of the photos focus on the A35’s front end, highlighting its full-LED headlights and black AMG-badged grille – sadly, it’s not the Panamericana grille seen on AMG 63 models, as that will be reserved for the 300kW+ A45 and A45 S due to be revealed in 2019. The two other teaser shots show the car’s illuminated AMG door sills, as well as its LED taillights and ‘A 35’ badge.
The Mercedes-AMG A35 will be revealed at the Paris motor show this October. It is expected to pair a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder and a 48V mild hybrid system with 4Matic all-wheel-drive – power outputs will sit around 225kW (300hp), which will allow the A35 to go from 0-100km/h in about 4.5 seconds. When it launches, it will rival the Audi S3, Volkswagen Golf R and upcoming BMW M130i xDrive.
