Volvo’s performance EV arm Polestar has teased the 2, its upcoming Tesla Model 3-fighting small electric sedan.
A single image was released by the Swedish firm, showing a top-down view of the saloon’s rear end. It’s not very revealing, however it is clear that the 2 will have a sleek design with a full-width rear taillight.
In addition to releasing the teaser, Polestar announced some of the 2’s headline figures. Once it goes on sale later this year, the sedan will boast around 298kW of power (400hp), and will be able to drive up to 483km (300mi) on a charge.
For reference, the Tesla Model 3, when equipped with the long range battery and AWD, produces 258kW of power but can travel 496km (308mi) on a charge.
The Polestar 2 will make its debut in the coming weeks.
