Mitsubishi has unveiled a facelifted 2020 ASX SUV, which will make its debut at the Geneva motor show next month.
The majority of the changes have taken place outside, where the ASX receives the brand’s Dynamic Shield front fascia used by the Triton and Eclipse Cross. Other exterior updates include LED headlights and taillights, a rugged rear skid plate and three new colours.
Inside, there’s a new infotainment system, which now measures eight inches in size. It features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and can play movies loaded via USB when the vehicle has come to a stop.
Mechanically, the facelifted ASX is nearly identical to the current model. It retains the same 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, sending 110kW of power and 197Nm of torque to the wheels through a five-speed manual or CVT auto. Strangely, the press release doesn’t mention the diesel, indicating it has been dropped.
The new Mitsubishi ASX lands in Australia in the third quarter.
