Mini has teased the 2020 John Cooper Works GP, ahead of a market launch in 2020.
Like in previous generations, the third-gen GP will take the reigns as the king of Mini hatchbacks. It’ll build off the solid platform of the regular John Cooper Works, by adding race-inspired looks, improved aerodynamics, track-focused suspension and handling, and more power.
How much power? Mini has confirmed the flagship hatch will boast over 220kW (300hp), from a four-cylinder turbocharged engine – however, it’s unclear whether it will be channeled to the front wheels or all four tyres.
