Seat has quietly unveiled the 2019 Leon Cupra R ST, a wagon variant of the Cupra R hatch launched at the 2017 Frankfurt motor show.
It’s powered by the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder as the hatch, producing 221kW and 400Nm, however drive is instead sent to all wheels instead of just the fronts. That results in a 4.9-second 0-100km/h time, and a 250km/h limited top speed.
Standard performance components include, 19-inch wheels, carbon-fibre aero elements, copper trim, Brembo performance brakes, quad exhaust tips and lowered sports suspension.
The main advantage of the ST over the hatch is the additional practicality, as all models get 587 litres of boot space. Other interior features specific to the Cupra R include an Alcantara steering wheel and shifter, carbon fibre trim and copper Seat badging.
Customer deliveries for the Seat Leon Cupra R ST begin next month.
