Volvo has unveiled ‘Polestar Engineered’ performance versions of its V60 wagon and XC60 SUV mid-sizers.

The duo join the related S60 Polestar Engineered sedan as the most powerful Volvos on sale.
Powering the new models is a 2.0-litre turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder petrol engine, which is combined with a rear-mounted electric motor for total outputs of 309kW of power and 670Nm of torque. They should sprint to 100km/h in less than 5 seconds, towards a newly-limited 180km/h top speed.
Under the skin, the PEs ride on unique Ohlins performance dampers, complemented by an Ohlins front chassis brace, six-piston Brembo brakes and 10-spoke forged alloy wheels.
Visually, they benefit from a black grille with Polestar logo, dark chrome exhaust, subtle fender flares and black trim. Inside, there are gold seatbelts, along with Nappa leather/textile upholstery, sports steering wheel and aluminium trim.
The Volvo V60 and XC60 Polestar Engineered go on sale later this year.
