This morning HSV announced their final edition 2017 range, with the main highlight being the GTS-R W1.
The HSV GTS-R W1 is the most powerful and expensive HSV ever built. Powering the W1 is a Corvette ZR1-sourced supercharged LS9 V8 producing a whopping 474kW of power and 815Nm of torque. Along with this comes a manual only 6-speed Tremec gearbox, new wheels and tires and special fixed rate suspension.
HSV claims the W1 could do 0-100 in 4.2 seconds and the quarter mile in 12.1 seconds. Similar to other VFII cars the W1 is limited to 250km/h, but if the limiter was removed HSV says the car could do up to 293km/h. All of this comes a price though: $155,500.
If the GTS-R W1 is too much, maybe the regular GTS-R is for you. The GTS-R and GTS-R Maloo come with a tuned LSA V8 producing 435kW and 740Nm, along with the W1’s exterior features and new wheels. Further, HSV have given the Clubsport and Grange ranges a 10kW power boost and 20Nm torque boost.
I am really excited for these new models. How about you? Leave your thoughts in a comment!
