An image of Audi’s 2019 product plan has leaked online.
The image, shown to press by Audi’s Spanish division, reveals the company’s release schedule for the upcoming year.
The rollout of new models starts in the second trimester (Apr-Jun), with the launch of A6 Allroad, facelifted TT RS and new RS 5 Sportback. The former two of these models are yet to be revealed – a Geneva motor show unveiling is the most likely option.
They’ll be followed up in the third trimester (Jul-Sep) by a barrage of new offerings: the Q5 and A7 e-trons, refreshed Q7 and A4, compact Q4 coupe SUV and the high-performance RS 7 liftback.
Finally, in the fourth trimester (Oct-Dec), Audi will launch the A8 L e-tron, coupe ‘Sportback’ version of the e-tron SUV, all-new A3, RS Q3 performance SUV and RS 6 hot wagon. Expect a Frankfurt or Los Angeles reveal for the majority of these models.
Strangely, there’s no mention of a number of known-to-be upcoming Audi products, including the S8, SQ8 and A1 Allroad. Either these models weren’t deemed to be relevant enough for inclusion in the leaked roadmap, or the company is planning to launch them in 2020.
Regardless, stay tuned to Redline for all the details when these cars are fully revealed.
